CourtDelta.com is a court case monitoring platform that allows users to:
- Track North Carolina court cases
- Receive notifications and alerts about case updates, hearings, and events
- For attorneys: Manage multiple cases across paid subscription tiers
3. User Categories and Access
3.1 Public Users (Free Tier)
- May monitor one court case at a time
- Receive notifications of case updates
- Access basic case information
- No charge for service
3.2 Attorney Users (Paid Tiers)
- May monitor multiple cases based on subscription tier
- Access advanced dashboard features
- Priority support (select tiers)
- Additional features as specified in tier description
- Subject to billing and subscription terms
4. Account Registration and Responsibilities
4.1 Account Creation
- You must provide accurate, current, and complete information
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password
- You agree to accept responsibility for all activities under your account
- You must be at least 18 years old or have parental consent
4.2 Account Use
- Your account is personal and non-transferable
- You may not share login credentials
- You agree not to create multiple accounts to circumvent limitations
- You are responsible for all activities conducted under your account
5. Permitted Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. Specifically, you agree not to:

6. Court Data and Public Records
6.1 Source of Data
- Case information is sourced from and derived from the North Carolina Courts portal (nccourts.gov) and other publicly available North Carolina court records
- CourtDelta.com is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially partnered with the North Carolina Courts system
- CourtDelta.com does not create, generate, or modify court data—we display data as provided by the NC Courts portal
- The official NC Courts portal (nccourts.gov) is the authoritative and official source of truth for all court data
6.2 Data Accuracy and Delays
- We do not guarantee the accuracy, timeliness, or completeness of court data
- Court data displayed on CourtDelta.com may be delayed relative to the official NC Courts portal due to:
- Delays in data transmission from the court system
- Data processing and synchronization delays
- Court system updates or maintenance windows
- Technical issues in our data pipeline
- For the most current and accurate court information, you must consult the official North Carolina Courts portal at nccourts.gov
- CourtDelta.com assumes no responsibility for data errors, omissions, or inaccuracies that originate from the NC Courts system
6.3 No Verification of Court Data
- CourtDelta.com does not independently verify, audit, or fact-check court data received from the NC Courts portal
- We provide data "as-is" from the source system without modification or validation
- Any errors, inconsistencies, or inaccuracies in the source data will be reflected in our Service
- You acknowledge that court records themselves may contain errors that originate from the court system, not from CourtDelta.com
6.4 User Responsibility
- You are solely responsible for verifying all court information independently through the official NC Courts portal
- Do not rely solely on CourtDelta.com for critical legal decisions, filings, deadlines, or other time-sensitive matters
- For any legal action, always consult the official NC Courts portal and confirm information directly with the court or your attorney
- You assume all risk associated with reliance on court data displayed through CourtDelta.com
6.5 Legal Use of Court Data
- You agree to comply with all applicable laws and court rules regarding use of public court information
- Some jurisdictions may restrict how court data can be used, shared, or redistributed
- You are solely responsible for compliance with applicable laws, court orders, and confidentiality requirements
- CourtDelta.com is not responsible for your misuse, misinterpretation, or unlawful use of court information
7. Notifications and Alerts
7.1 Notice Accuracy
- We use reasonable efforts to provide timely and accurate notifications
- We do not guarantee real-time updates or that all updates will be captured
- The court system and official NC Courts portal (nccourts.gov) are the authoritative sources; refer to official records for critical matters
- Notifications may be delayed due to court system updates or technical issues
7.2 Notification Settings
- You are responsible for configuring notification preferences
- You must maintain an active, valid email address for alerts
- Ensure your email service does not filter our notifications as spam
- We are not responsible for missed notifications due to email delivery issues
8. Billing and Subscription (Attorney Accounts)
8.1 Subscription Terms
- Subscription plans are offered in monthly or annual terms (as available)
- Charges will be billed on a recurring basis unless you cancel
- Pricing is subject to change with notice
8.2 Payment
- You authorize CourtDelta.com to charge your payment method
- All charges are non-refundable except where legally required
8.3 Cancellation
- You may cancel your subscription at any time
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle
- Upon cancellation, you lose access to attorney features; case monitoring data may be retained for 90 days
- No refund is provided for partial months
8.4 Plan Changes
- You may upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time
- Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated
- Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle
- Reduced case limits apply upon downgrade; excess cases may be archived
9. Pricing and Changes
- Current pricing is displayed during signup
- We may change pricing with 30 days' notice
- Changes apply to new subscriptions and renewals
- Existing subscriptions continue at current rates until renewal
10. Intellectual Property
10.1 Our IP
- CourtDelta.com retains all intellectual property rights in the Service, including its design, functionality, software, and content
- You may not copy, modify, reproduce, or distribute our Service without permission
10.2 Your Content
- You retain rights to case information and data you provide
- By providing information, you grant us a license to use it to provide the Service
- You may not share information you provided with third parties without our permission
10.3 Limitations
- You may not use CourtDelta.com's name, logo, or branding without permission
- You may not create derivative works or competing services based on our platform
11. Disclaimers
11.1 "As-Is" Service
The Service is provided "as-is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including:
- Merchantability
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement
- Accuracy or reliability of court data
11.2 No Legal Advice
CourtDelta.com is not a substitute for legal counsel. Court information provided is for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice. You should consult with an attorney regarding legal matters and to verify all court information.
11.3 Court Data Disclaimer — NO LIABILITY
YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT:
- CourtDelta.com does not control, create, or verify court data displayed in the Service
- All court data originates from the North Carolina Courts portal (nccourts.gov), which is the official source of truth
- CourtDelta.com has no responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of court data
- Data delays, errors, or omissions in CourtDelta.com may originate from the NC Courts system and are beyond our control
- You must independently verify all court information through the official NC Courts portal at nccourts.gov before taking any action based on that information
- CourtDelta.com is not liable for any consequences resulting from reliance on inaccurate, delayed, or incomplete court data
11.4 Service Availability
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. The Service may be unavailable for maintenance, updates, or technical issues.
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CourtDelta.com and its owners, operators, employees, and agents shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunity
- Damages arising from use or inability to use the Service
- Errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in court data, whether originating from CourtDelta.com or the North Carolina Courts portal
- Delays in receiving or displaying court data or notifications
- Any actions or decisions made based on court data displayed through CourtDelta.com
- Missed, delayed, or inaccurate notifications or alerts
- Third-party actions or content
- Any reliance on court data that differs from information on the official NC Courts portal
COURT DATA LIABILITY WAIVER: You specifically acknowledge that CourtDelta.com shall have no liability whatsoever for any damages, losses, or consequences arising from inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, or missing court data, including but not limited to:
- Missed court deadlines
- Incorrect case information
- Failure to receive timely notifications
- Reliance on data that subsequently proves inaccurate
The exclusive remedy for such issues is to directly consult the official North Carolina Courts portal at nccourts.gov or contact the relevant court directly.
Maximum Liability: In no event shall CourtDelta.com's total liability exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the past 12 months (or $25 if no payment was made).
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CourtDelta.com and its owners, operators, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any laws
- Your infringement of third-party rights
- Your misuse of court data
14. Modification and Suspension
14.1 Service Changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any portion) at any time without notice, though we will make reasonable efforts to provide notice.
14.2 Suspension
We may suspend your account if you violate these Terms, engage in illegal activity, or pose a security risk. Suspension may be immediate in cases of serious violations.
14.3 Termination
We may terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, for any reason, with or without cause.
15. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
15.1 Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
15.2 Dispute Resolution
Any disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association (AAA) rules rather than court litigation, except for:
- Claims seeking injunctive relief
- Claims that must be brought in small claims court
- Claims for attorney account disputes under $5,000
15.3 Class Action Waiver
You agree not to pursue claims on a class action basis. All disputes must be brought individually.

17. Entire Agreement
