By accessing or using CourtDelta.com (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email (to the address associated with your account) or through a prominent notice on the Service at least 30 days before the changes take effect (or as otherwise required by law). Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the Service and cancel any subscription.
CourtDelta.com is a platform that allows users to track publicly available North Carolina court cases, receive notifications about case updates, and optionally be connected with licensed North Carolina attorneys for potential legal consultation (see Section 19).
The Service pulls data from publicly available sources, primarily the North Carolina Courts portal (nccourts.gov). We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with the North Carolina Judicial Branch or any court system.
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and use the Service. By registering, you represent that you meet this requirement. Accounts are personal and non-transferable.
You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep it updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
You may not share your login credentials or create multiple accounts to circumvent limits. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in compliance with these Terms and all applicable laws. You agree not to:
Public court records in North Carolina are generally open to inspection under state public records law. We do not impose additional "legitimate interest" requirements beyond compliance with law and these Terms.
All case information is derived from publicly available records on the official North Carolina Courts portal (nccourts.gov) and other public sources. We do not create, modify, or verify the underlying court data. The official NC Courts portal is the sole authoritative source for court records.
We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any court data. Delays or inaccuracies may occur due to court system updates, transmission issues, processing, or other factors beyond our control.
YOU MUST ALWAYS VERIFY INFORMATION DIRECTLY ON NCCOURTS.GOV BEFORE TAKING ANY ACTION BASED ON DATA DISPLAYED ON OUR SERVICE.
We do not audit, verify, or correct data received from public sources. Any errors in the source data will appear in the Service.
You are solely responsible for independently verifying all court information through official channels. Do not rely on CourtDelta.com for critical decisions, deadlines, filings, or legal actions. Always consult the official NC Courts portal and, where appropriate, a licensed attorney.
You must comply with all laws, court rules, and orders regarding the use, sharing, or redistribution of court records (including any confidentiality or sealing requirements). We are not responsible for your misuse of court data.
We use reasonable efforts to send timely notifications, but we do not guarantee real-time delivery or that every update will be captured. Notifications may be delayed or missed due to technical issues, email filtering, or court system factors. You are responsible for maintaining a valid email address and ensuring our messages are not blocked as spam. Refer to nccourts.gov for authoritative information.
Subscriptions are available on monthly or annual terms and automatically renew unless canceled. Pricing and features are described during signup and may change with notice.
We clearly disclose automatic renewal terms, renewal periods, and pricing at signup. You may cancel at any time via your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no refunds for partial periods unless required by law.
For subscriptions with terms longer than one month, we will provide renewal reminders as required by North Carolina law (G.S. § 75-41). If terms change upon renewal, we will disclose those changes clearly and conspicuously.
You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. All charges are non-refundable except where required by law.
We may adjust pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Changes apply to new subscriptions and renewals after the notice period. Existing subscriptions continue at the prior rate until renewal.
We (or our licensors) own all rights in the Service, including software, design, logos, and content. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service as permitted by these Terms.
You retain ownership of any information you upload, but grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to use it solely to provide and improve the Service. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service without permission.
